Course Goals / Objectives:
Formulate and apply control volume analysis to flowing fluids
Learn to apply Bernoulli's equation
Construct dimensionless groups and predict performance of a prototype from a model study
Predict pressure loss in a pipe or a channel and for a simple system of pipes for both laminar and turbulent flows
Predict the skin friction and form drag of bodies in external flow
Formulate the governing equations and solve them for viscous parallel flows, lubrication flows, and for laminar boundary layers
