Course Goals / Objectives:
Learn to program in Matlab
Determine binary representation of machine numbers
Learn basic concepts of linear algebra
Construction of an interpolation polynomial, a least squares fit, and a spline from given data
Construction of finite difference approximations to derivatives and numerical integration
Learn numerical solution methods for nonlinear equations
Carry out numerical integration
Numerical Solution of linear systems of equations
