Course Goals / Objectives:
To examine the legal requirements for both domestic and international investigations.
To examine the procedures in place for accident scene safety and protection for accident investigators.
To gain a better understanding of the methodology of on-scene accident investigation and the technologies employed during these investigations.
To examine closer how investigative results and findings translate into understanding accident causation and hence the development of industry recommendations including those that become regulations.
To examine in detail numerous accidents in depth allowing the practical application of material covering in either a classroom and/or field environment.
