Course Description:
Students will take this course and then participate in the in-country field portion of the Engineering Service-Learning/Montana de Luz, Honduras program series. Students will travel to Honduras and implement and evaluate the projects they developed in the Spring Semester. In addition, the students will complete technical documentation and present their projects in a conference-style format.

Course Goals / Objectives:
Identify and analyze the impact of sustainable technology on a developing country in terms of, but not limited to, the environment, public discourse, economy, education, cultural attitudes, socioeconomics, and public health.
Devise practical and sustainable engineering solutions that involve partnerships with the local partners, including the local community at large.
Synthesize the theory and practice of service-learning within the local and global community.
Participate in a study-abroad experience, which may be outside their comfort zone and experience, in order to implement team-based technical and social projects and to document and present the lessons learned
